Services & Specialties
As a double-board certified psychiatrist, I specialize in working with people experiencing depression, anxiety, panic attacks, OCD, ADHD, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and other mental health concerns. I also supports those navigating stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, low self-esteem, career difficulties, addiction, and medical illness.
Individual Psychotherapy
I offer individual psychotherapy that is warm, open, and collaborative. I tailor my approach to your needs — whether that’s exploring past experiences to better understand current struggles, learning practical strategies to manage stress and anxiety, or helping you find motivation to make positive health changes. I draw from psychodynamic, supportive, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and motivational interviewing techniques.
I commonly support people through life transitions, relationship challenges, family stress, low self-esteem, trauma, addiction, career difficulties, and the emotional impact of medical illness.
Medication Management
When appropriate, I prescribe psychiatric medication as part of a comprehensive treatment plan. Combining therapy with medication can often lead to faster and more lasting improvement. Unlike typical psychiatry appointments lasting15-25 minutes, I allot 45 minutes to each session, giving us time to explore and identify what’s driving your symptoms.
I work closely with you to ensure your medication aligns with your preferences and goals, and reserve medications for when they are truly necessary. My goal is to guide, support, and inform so ultimately you can make the decisions that feel right for you.
Sub-specialties
In addition to general psychiatry, I sub-specialize in the following.
Medical illness
I have advanced training in consultation-liaison (CL) psychiatry. This means I have special training in supporting individuals facing medical illness. Whether you are coping with a new diagnosis, chronic condition, or the stress of navigating the healthcare system, I can help you manage anxiety, mood changes, trauma responses, and the challenges that often accompany serious health issues.
I also specialize in identifying when psychiatric symptoms may be related to an underlying medical condition, and safely managing psychiatric medications in the context of complex medical conditions, including cancer, heart disease, autoimmune disease, Long Covid, pregnancy, stroke, epilepsy, brain injury, and more.
Performance Coaching
I offer mental performance coaching for athletes and work professionals seeking to optimize their potential. I work with you to understand your motivations, set goals, and develop a plan to improve preparation and performance. I will teach you evidence-based mental skills to foster confidence, overcome challenges, develop resilience, and improve overall skills. I draw from motivational interviewing and CBT in my approach.
Fees
I am an out-of-network provider. While I do not accept insurance, I will provide an itemized bill for services that can be submitted to insurance for out-of-network reimbursement. Knowing one’s out-of-network benefits, deductible, and out of pocket maximum can be helpful in estimating out-of-pocket costs.

Request consultation
Once submitted, I'll contact you to schedule a 15 minute phone consultation to learn more about you and your needs.
